Key Responsibilities Support the recruitment, engagement and termination processes
Assisting the HR Officer/Coordinator with overall HR related queries
Accurate record keeping, filing, data capturing and administration of HR related documents
Participate in departmental meetings
Availability of accurate and timely HR information
Monitor and forward all time and attendance information to line management
and facilitate corrective actions as and when required
Facilitate meetings with management, employees and unions on employee issues, take and distribute required minutes of these meetings 
Maintain effective, open, two way communication with all stakeholders
Develop a trusting and mutual respect relationship with the all stakeholders
Ensure that employees work schedules are correct
Ensure that labour is effectively controlled which include:
Monitor staffing levels against approved labour plan
Obtain labour requirements from supervisors and ensure adequate staffing
Transfer, promotion and shift adjustment administration
Monitors and reports on employee attendance (at work, on leave, training, sick leave and absenteeism) 
Ensure identified individuals have adequate training and is competent to perform tasks associated with position in question
Handover of transfer, promotion and shift adjustment documentation for processing and follow up to ensure that all labour movements are implemented
Responds to all employee benefit / pay enquiries
Supports line management on all communication activities
Key Requirements Good understanding and knowledge of Employee Relations
Knowledge of manning, recruitment and labour control
Relevant HR experience within a mining environment will be advantageous
Understanding of Human Resources practices and legislation
Understanding of HR Administration processes within a mining/construction environment will be advantageous
Dealing with employee related queries and delivering a service to supervisors and employees
Education Matric Certificate
Human Resources Degree/ Diploma or related, obtained at a recognised tertiary institution
Good Computer skills; MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint will be advantages
Be fully conversant in English
